The 18th of February, 1990 saw Kang Han-ra being born in the Gangdong District of Seoul, South Korea. Since she was a little girl, she has always had a love for the arts, namely acting, and she has always been interested in music and dance.
Following her graduation from high school, she attended Dongguk University in South Korea to pursue a degree in Theatre and Film. Kang So-ra first gained widespread recognition when, in 2011, she was cast in the critically acclaimed comic drama film Sunny, which told the story of a middle-aged lady who, after 30 years, makes an effort to get back in touch with her group of high school classmates. Kang plays the character of Ha Chun-hwa when she was a teenager in the film, which cuts back and forth between the past and the present at various points.
