Investigations by the police continued even as conflicting versions of how the cherished mother had been slain surfaced late yesterday.

At first, her family was informed that the fatal shot had been fired by a 14-year-old girl who was playing with a loaded pistol inside a property on the Meyersdal View Estate, which is located outside of the dangerous city.

However, South African authorities said that the gun went off accidently as it was being cleaned inside the facility yesterday evening.

It is believed that Fatima, a local resident of Leicester, was struck by the bullet as it rebounded off the wall. In a short amount of time following that, Fatima died away in the hospital.

According to sources inside the police department, she was traveling with her daughter Humairah, who was 19 years old at the time and saw the crime.
